Shawn Malone is fine art landscape and event photographer based in Marquette, MI, home to the US Olympic Education Center Short Track Speedskating training facilities.

Having spent the past ten years photographing the unique natural wonders of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and the Lake Superior region, it is just recently that she has had the opportunity to photograph speedskating. To have such major events such as the World Cup in 2003 and the 2005 Olympic Trials held a few miles from her home is a thrilling experience for which she feels very fortunate.

She has grown into a big fan of short track and finds the excitement level of the sport incomparable to any other.
